Biography

John Kelly is Professor of Uro-Oncology at University College Hospital London and the Director of the Chitra Sethia Robotic and Minimal Access Centre. He is the lead for urology and robotic surgery at UCLH and has developed robotic surgery for prostate and bladder cancer using the Da Vinci Si system. John specialises in robotic prostate and bladder cancer surgery, including reconstructive urinary diversion. He leads a clinical research group with an aim to improve surgery outcomes for patients undergoing robotic and open surgery. He is the Chief investigator for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) funded trials in surgery including the BOLERO and HYMN studies. He is a member and Chair of National Committees and has published national guidelines for patient care.
