Biography

I am interested in multi-modality imaging, particularly combining diffuse optical imaging with other imaging modalities (especially MRI, x-ray, EEG). How can we extract biological parameters of clinical interest from combined imaging? Can we combine the images with patient or other clinical data to aid interpretation? I’m also interested in image-guided radiotherapy. How can we best target a beam of x-rays or protons onto a tumour in order to cure the cancer while sparing healthy tissue? Again, can we derive biological parameters of interest so we specify the treatment in terms of biological cure rather than physical dose distribution?
