Biography

Ludvic is an appointed Consultant Neurosurgeon at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and the Unit of Functional Neurosurgery, UCL Institute of Neurology, and also a Visiting Consultant Neurosurgeon to the Maltese Islands. His current interests include the surgical management of chronic neurological and psychiatric disease including advanced Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, tremor, chronic pain, headache (trigeminal autonomic cephalalgia) and Tourette syndrome. His research has been directed towards continued improvement in the surgical care of patients undergoing deep brain stimulation with particular emphasis on improving safety, accuracy and efficacy of surgery. He also manages a wide range of general neurosurgical conditions and has a special interest in complex intracranial surgery. He is author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications, abstracts and several book chapters and his work has received several international awards.
