I am a Neurologist/epileptologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist focusing on the presurgical evaluation of intractable epilepsy patients including intracranial EEG recordings. The aim is to precisely identify the ictal onset zone and the amount of tissue to be resected to render a patient seizure free without causing deficits. Despite many technical advances, outcomes following epilepsy surgery remain sub-optimal. Many patients require invasive investigation with intracranial EEG to precisely localise eloquent functions and epileptogenicity.
